Hopi pottery, made from local clay, painted with vegetable and mineral designs and fired outdoors, traditionally comes in light buff and tan colors. Darlene Nampeyo, great great grand daughter of the Hopi matriarch Nampeyo, has been making pottery since the 1960's. This lovely example of her work measures 4 3/4 inches high.
