During the construction of a railroad over the Tsavo River in East Africa in 1898, 2 large lions killed over 140 workers before the crews fled. After many attempts, Lt. Col. John Henry Patterson eventually eliminated the lions. The Tsavo lions were mounted and are on display at The Field Museum. This is our slightly cuddlier plush version. Measures 24 (nose to tail) x 5.5. Ages 3 and up.
