The tradition of Chinese puppetry originated during the Han Dynasty, and grew throughout both the Tang and Song Dynasties. Our wooden puppet head in its original patina comes from one of the traveling puppet shows in Hunan, southern China in the early 20th century. Measures 7.5 inches high.
