Tagua Nut Owl

Tagua Nut Owl

Item #: 042624
This figure of an owl is hand carved from a single tagua palm nut and measures one and a half inches high. The tagua nut, commonly known as vegetable ivory comes from Ecuador. Before the wide use of inexpensive plastics, tagua nuts were used to make buttons. The tagua nut is a natural resource harvested in a sustainable way; purchase of tagua products helps maintain the rain forests.
