Navajo folk artist, Delbert Buck, was inspired as a child to begin carving the everyday things he saw around him in New Mexico. He was encouraged by his family, and using simple tools, and moved by the sights at the rodeo, he developed a unique style featuring Navajo cowboys and their pets often in familiar rodeo activities. Here a pair of Dalmatian cowboys and their friends fly high in a fanciful bi-plane.
Painted wood, leather, and heavy paper.
