This fine bear kachina is carved by Eugene Gaddy, brother of well known artist Robert Gaddy. In the Hopi language the word Kachina can be translated as the life bringer. They represent hundreds of aspects of natural and spiritual life. The bear kachina is a powerful warrior also able to cure bad illnesses.
