Self-taught Navajo folk artist Delbert Buck, who was stirred to create his first carvings as a child, has gained national recognition for his charming and distinctive work. His pieces are often inspired by his love of rodeo riders, and feature unusual mounts for the Navajo cowboys he carves. Here a long legged skunk prances under the reins of a well dressed rider.
