The Zuni people have been making jewelry for hundreds of years, and began working in silver in the 1800's. The technique known as petit point uses small stones which are set into rows or clusters. The stones are often so small that they have to be handled in wax, which is melted out once they are set.

In this impressive ring, 90 small stones have been used to dramatic effect.
