Miniature Navajo Rug

Miniature Navajo Rug

Item #: 101856
The use of sheep's wool to weave rugs was introduced to the Plains Nations by the Spanish in the 1700's, although the oldest complete examples of Navajo rugs survive only from the 1800's.

Noted Navajo weaver Elisabeth Begay has painstakingly woven this miniature rug, which measures approximately 4 +" by 6 +".
