The jewelers of the Santo Domingo Pueblo have a long standing tradition of working in stone, shell and wood, with very little metalwork. They are famous for their inlaid pieces, and this beautiful swirl form pin by Mary and Lorenzo Tafoya is an excellent example of the art of inlay.
The pin can also be worn as a pendant, and measures 2" across.
